Community Discussion.

Recently, we’ve been having some issues in chat and I would like to take time to discuss all of our issues together so that we can become a better community. Remember to remain polite, be on-topic to the discussion, keep swearing to a minimum, and to not launch personal attacks.

What about it though?
more of it? or like can we do it?
That is something we should look into doing, though we primarily use Discussions for role-playing.
Hm, true. I've always been more used to chat roleplay myself, so maybe it's just experience bias. Would be fun, I've longed for a good roleplay, and I haven't participated in one for a long time. Hopefully it'll be a thing in the very-soon future
Perhaps we could organize a chat RP soon.

Just an idea (idk if this already happens), people should get warned before they get a kick, so people dont get all stroppy and moany when they get kicked and then start ranting over discussions about someone should be demoted.

I agree with what James has suggested. Personally I think unexplained kicks should be reserved for situations where a user is clearly acting in bad faith and purposely trying to violate the guidelines, and thus it would be unnecessary to warn before kicking, because the reasons for kicking would be absolutely clear.
If a user is misbehaving knowingly breaking rules, I often kick first and then when they come back, warn them what they did wrong. If it is a new user or someone who clearly doesn't know the rules, I would often explain to them what they are doing and give a warming and then a kick if it continues as I believe that is an effective way to mod. I do see the issue you two are raising though. Unexplained kicks can cause issues and I believe that moderators should always explain the reason behind a kick.

Yeah, I tend to kick users, but only if it's clear that they are aware that they've broken the rules. Otherwise I warn first. Unexplained kicks aren't something that I take lightly as a non-chat mod, unless it's clear that it was only meant to be funny.
I think transparency on the wiki is a huge issue.
