I know this is a controversial idea, but I believe that removing Wen Li from the first season and expanding John Fontaine's role instead may be the best option if we will continue rewriting or continue the role-play in general. I believe this because Quinton seems like he hasn't been willing to reply as the character, improve the character, or answer questions regarding the character, and is thus slowing our progress. I know we've had him around for a long time and this is nothing against Quinton, but there is still hope for TDL, at least from my view.
Wen Li is fairly incidental in Season 1, and I think we can open the door for him to return in Season 2 given the opportunity arises. Quinton will still be involved as Marshall Rooke and Samuel Brownlee, characters who are less overwhelming to portray, and this is again, no means an attack on him. Fontaine's expanded role, though, allows him to train the teens and he can also provide Alchemilia Corp related information. I just think that the Wen Li character has caused a lot of controversy across the community, and shouldn't remain in TDL for now, at least not in the first season.
I know we all miss roleplaying, and I think this might be a good idea to reinvigorate interest. You might think this doesn't work with Fontaine's storyline, but the Dream eaters knowing Alchemilia secrets like Li does seems like it will be beneficial for the narrative. There have been many attempts to improve the Wen Li character, and I don't think TDL is ready yet for Wen Li, not when his existence has stalled and slowed the RP for years. One more thing to Quinton, if you really will change Wen Li and help rewrite Formation in a way that fixes his character without diminishing others, as well as are able to communicate about who should reply and what should happen in what we are roleplaying and writing, then I will withdraw this proposal.

As proposed, it's time to re-roleplay the basement scene in Formation. I'd prefer for Quinton to start the scene, so we'll go from there.

After the events of season 2, the remaining PC8 members have returned to Silivia, and have started readjusting themselves to the ancient city. To celebrate, Wen Li throws a get-together at Plant Empire while Marshall Rooke sets up the feast by himself.

Happy Wenning!
"Greetings, Mr. Li. I am glad to be here at your wonderful, joyous, scrumptious party." Wellington walked passed the ancient man, into his abode.
Wen Li almost collapsed as he saw who walked toward his empire of plant, his new best friend, Richard Devlin. He ran up to the doctor, and hugged him, "Hey, Wen. Just thought I'd drop by."
Li grabbed his hand and led him to the shop, but tripped on his own pant leg. Luckily he landed on top of Rooke.
"What the FUCK, you fucking bastard?" Rooke SCREAMED.
"Sorry!!"
Suddenly, Li got a flashback, back to before he returned to Silivia. Li was chased down the backroads by a mysterious cult, the Frog Cult.

The 12th episode of Season 2 of The Demon's Light was halted midway.
In this thread, we will create a non-canon continuation of the episode. Anyone may reply for whatever scene they wish to continue.
https://the-demons-light.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000035940
This is where we will role-play episode 2 of The Demon's Light (Original). Anyone not familiar with the RP should read this page: The Lost Ones. Episode 2 starts off right where this one ends.
To be consistent, if a character has a page and isn't posthumous and appears in the series, we'll give them an understudy. If they have a page they have some considerable impact in the roleplay.
This proposal will end March 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM ET.
Based off South Ferry's idea, I'm proposing the creation of Project:Art, a page to keep all of our art and artists centralized. Here's an example: https://the-demons-light.fandom.com/wiki/User:TheKorraFanatic/Project:Art
This proposal will last a week and end at 8 PM CST on March 13th, 2023.
Messenger of Heaven recently applied for Content Moderator. The request can be found here.
This vote will end on March 7th, 2023 at 1 PM CST. Please vote with "Support", "Neutral", or "Oppose". In order to pass, this vote requires no less than 67% in favor of a promotion. Neutral votes will be divided equally among supports and opposes.
Hello, today, I am proposing that understudies should be required for supporting characters. We already do this with main characters and to add onto Messenger of Heaven's proposal in Discord, it would help scenes run better and prevent stalling.
This is more formalized than picking understudies for scenes, and would be easier to write in a policy page.
Vote Support, Neutral, or Oppose.
This proposal ends 1 PM CST on March 3rd, 2023.
I am proposing that the portrayers of each character on an episode by episode basis (as seen on many current pages) are moved to a new page titled [[Project:Credits]], with the character pages only retaining the character's owner and understudy.
Vote Support, Neutral, or Oppose.
This proposal ends 12:00 PM EST on March 3, 2022.
I am proposing a section following "Background" on character pages, titled "Role in Series." The Role in Series will summarize a character's actions and events that occur to them on a season-by-season basis during the span of The Demon's Light.
Vote Support, Neutral, or Oppose.
This proposal ends 12:00 AM EST on March 3, 2022.
As most of you know there is an issue regarding a character by the name of Kailan. There was no formal adoption of this character and no proof of who actually owns the character. But Quinton claims it is his.
He has expressed zero interest in this character in all these years and Korra has done all the work writing it and even including it into episodes. Quinton has openly said he hates the character and wants to delete it. But despite not having any real claim refuses to let it go. So to resolve this matter I've created this vote to decide.
I believe since Quinton has never done anything with the character, has never really claimed the character minus probably twice and hates the character and has no interest in it and only claimed it to delete it. While Korra has done all the work for it and obviously wants it. I think that the character should be given to Korra.

We'll do short self-contained missions on here, featuring Melissa Devlin and her Ackerman Militia squad. What I'm thinking is, users can suggest ideas for the mission and we'll do it. It'll help to get an understanding of these characters.
As shown by this past Administration Review, the usage of support/keep, oppose/remove, and demote to <position> votes can leave the vote at a stalemate, possibly even leaving it without a majority at all! While I mentioned this flaw in the system earlier, I didn't at ALL expect Quinton to convince over half of his opposers to change their vote to demote to content moderator, but since it happened, my point has (hilariously) been proven. Thankfully, this AR's interesting stalemate was resolved through Quinton's compliance in stepping down to a content moderator.
However, while this is a solution, it isn't what won the vote — because nothing did. In the future, if this sort of thing were to happen again — with someone unwilling to solve the issue themself or a community unwilling to accept the solution, or if the situation were more complicated — we would have to figure out a different solution, as we did here, but the simplicity of the solution we settled for may not be attainable in future circumstances.
Side note: I feel that, with neutral votes counting as half oppose/remove and half support/keep, it isn't very neutral for demote votes to not be involved in that in some way. Neutrality doesn't necessarily half favor for both keep and remove. Neutrality could also mean wanting to keep but also seeing the need for demotion but not wanting to remove.
It seems the better solution would be to rework how we go about our demotion and removal/opposition votes, no?
So, I would like to propose that, instead of the voting options being support/keep, neutral, oppose/remove, and demote to <position>, we can stick with good ol' support/keep, neutral, and oppose/remove. However, the real effect of oppose/remove depends on another vote, if it is to take the initial vote. This way, oppose/remove can mean oppose keeping all of their rights/remove all of their rights or oppose them keeping some of their rights/remove some of their rights, and the outcome may be decided upon through another vote.
In this second vote, it might be best to approach it by voting on rights themselves. For example, if we did a second vote with Quinton, the rights we would be analyzing are content moderator, discord moderator, and discussions moderator (the rights of an assistant). I am a visual person, so I'd rather just write it out than describe it with hypothetical votes:
'Content moderator: 8 support, 2 oppose.
Discussions moderator: 3 support, 7 oppose.
Discord moderator: 2 support, 8 oppose.'
In this case, Quinton would have discussions moderator and discord moderator rights removed. If the community wanted him to have all of his rights removed, they would oppose to all three.
In the case of an administrator, we would add administrator rights to the vote, and maybe specify that those are things like blocking and changing the wiki's skin and MediaWiki things and whatnot. In the case of a bureaucrat, we would add bureaucrat rights to the vote, and maybe also specify that these are things like being able to change user rights, block and unblock, remove a user's bot status, etc. Ideally, these roles may be briefly described so that the userbase knows exactly what they are voting for individually, and it should be specified where there is overlap (administrators have assistant rights, assistants are content moderators/discussions moderators/discord moderators, etc).
I hope that this makes sense and can be a good solution to this issue. Of course, this is just the solution I have in mind.

Hi, everybody.
Now that Messenger of Heaven's proposal to temporarily suspend Quinton as Wen Li has passed, I've created this thread so we can decide the length of it. So far, we have three options and whichever one gets a majority of votes will be named as the length:
- Two months
- One month
- Two weeks
Please vote for your preferred option.
Note that the suspension begins today and this proposal will last a week, so this week will count as part of whatever choice is picked (for example, if we pick two weeks, the suspension will end a week after this proposal ends).
For far too long, Quintion has used his character Wen Li to hold scenes hostage, godmod the roleplay when he sees fit, and over all make the character a joke and just the stereotypical old asian man. Whenever someone tries to talk to him about his character or change a scene, he will throw a fit and disappear from the situation claiming to be "busy," only to show up again the next day or the next few days not wanting to talk about the character.
Wen Li has been a part of the roleplay for far too long so I think it would be extreme to remove him completely and since Quinton did create him, I am proposing that him and Wizard switch roles, with Wizard becoming the portrayer and owner of the character, and Quinton becoming the understudy. This way, he can keep some connection to his character while losing the ability to hog scenes, hold the rp hostage and disrupt the roleplay as a whole.
These issues have been addressed with him many times and he has never changed nor addressed them properly and it keeps popping up as a consistent issue for the community.
Update: Adding onto the proposal the switch should be temporary At least 2 months (Exact time decided by the staff team or community vote) to give Quinton time to think about the situation and fix what needs to be fixed and be given a chance to do better. I do not want to take his character away forever I just think he needs a bit of a wake up call and time to think about how to fix the way he acts over the roleplay.
